RESEARCH Research and Management Cell, Dharan, Nepal Aug 2017 Dec 2017
Summer research: Single Point Cutting Tool.
We conducted a comprehensive analysis of chip morphology and surface finish by
manipulating top and back rake angles and cutting variables using CAD and ANSYS software.
In our experiment, we utilized a mild steel workpiece and a High-Speed Steel (HSS) M7
(S400) cutting tool. Our analysis provided valuable insights into the relationship between
the examined parameters and chip morphology as well as surface finish. These findings will
prove instrumental in optimizing the machining process, attaining superior surface quality,
reducing production time, minimizing energy losses, and prolonging the tool's lifespan.
Research assistant: mechanical engineering.
In my role as a research assistant in the Research and Management Cell, I undertook various
responsibilities, including conducting literature searches, creating posters, and participating
in conferences. Additionally, I acquired proficiency in ANSYS software and provided assistance
to graduate researchers to utilize computational methods in order to analyze and determine
the optimal location for return ventilation within HVAC systems designed for negative
pressure airborne infection isolation rooms.
AWARDS Winner: Fully automatic line following robot competition.
Our team of three classmates achieved first place in a state-level robotic competition. We
successfully implemented a PID algorithm and invested weeks in meticulous parameter tuning
specifically tailored to the competition track. Furthermore, we optimized the robot's
performance by incorporating a lightweight aluminum body and utilizing a brushless DC
motor with an ESC controller.
WORK
EXPERIENCE
Mechianical Engineer, Shree Singhabahini Engineering Works. Itahari Jun 2019 Sep 2019
Enhanced the design of the cardamom dryer in collaboration with the Indian Cardamom
Research Center (ICRC), an Indian Government owned research Institute. Increased the
efficiency of the dryer by 10% to date (still working). Designed and developed a smokeless
dryer and successfully improved the quality of cardamom by reducing carbon disposition.
Engineering Intern Udayapur Cement Factory. Summer 2016
Studied workflow pattern, maintenance of industrial components, and assisted senior
engineer in researching limestone-carrying ropeway design implementation.

works.
KEY PROJECTS Single Point cutting Tool
we conducted a comprehensive analysis of chip morphology and surface finish by manipulating
top/back rake angles and cutting variables using CAD and ANSYS software. Our aim was to
investigate the impact of different parameters on surface finishing, production time, energy loss,
and cutting tool wear during the machining process.
Analysis and Optimization of Lifting Lug according to Load Condition.
I performed design and analysis of the existing lifting lug under specified load conditions to
observe its behavior. As the obtained results were unsatisfactory, I proceeded to optimize the
model in order to ensure its structural integrity under the given load conditions, while increasing
the safety factor.
Thermal Conductivity measuring Apparatus for Steady State Heat Transfer.
We designed and fabricated a thermal conductivity measurement apparatus for the heat transfer
lab at my college. The apparatus consists of six axially placed thermocouple sensors for
temperature measurements. It is designed with portable and detachable components, allowing
easy replacement of the metallic rod being tested by students.
